Life can be stressful at times, and if you feel it is having too much of an impact on your physical and mental health, you don’t have to keep pushing or wait for better days. As a Sophrology therapist, I offer sessions where you can learn to manage the stress you might be experiencing at home, at work, or from many other external circumstances in your life.
In these sessions, you will experience the power of gentle body movements and mindfulness exercises to help you reconnect with your body. Positive visualisations will support you in feeling more focused, confident, calm, and optimistic. You’ll also be able to use these personalised techniques outside the sessions, whenever life feels too demanding.

Do you sometimes feel weighed down by anxious thoughts? Do you find it difficult to switch off, relax, or get a good night’s sleep? Maybe you dread big meetings or social gatherings, or find speaking in front of a group almost excruciating. Anxiety can affect both your emotional balance and your physical wellbeing, often leaving you feeling drained.
To ease anxiety, it is important to reconnect with your body and allow your nervous system to settle, so you can feel strong and safe again. Sophrology offers gentle, practical tools to help you rediscover the power of the mind–body connection and move towards greater confidence and positivity. In our sessions together, you’ll learn techniques to notice anxious thoughts, ground yourself in the present moment, and create a sense of calm and clarity, so you can feel more centred and at ease in daily life, whether at work, in social situations, or simply within yourself.

If you have sleep problems, you might find that they affect your levels of energy and mental abilities during the day. You might also feel more stressed and notice an impact on your mood. Sophrology is very effective in addressing sleep problems by reducing stress, relaxing muscles, and promoting better sleep habits through techniques such as controlled breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, and positive imagery. It can enhance sleep quality and establish a soothing pre-sleep routine.

Living with ADHD as an adult can often feel more overwhelming than people realise. Research shows that adults with ADHD are up to four times more likely to experience anxiety disorders compared to those without ADHD. Many of its symptoms—such as restlessness, difficulty focusing, or mood fluctuations—can overlap with other conditions like anxiety or depression, which can make getting a clear diagnosis even more challenging. For some, ADHD may even go unnoticed in childhood and only surface later in life, often taking a toll on self-esteem and relationships.
Sophrology can offer gentle, practical support in navigating these challenges. Through simple techniques, you can learn to feel more anchored in yourself and improve concentration. Sessions can also help strengthen self-image and confidence. With guided breathing exercises and positive visualisation, Sophrology creates space to regain calm and serenity, helping ease some of the difficulties that come with ADHD.

When burnout has already taken hold, Sophrology can provide valuable relief. Its gentle techniques help calm the nervous system, release accumulated tension, and restore a sense of balance. Sessions offer practical tools to alleviate the negative effects of stress and support recovery, helping you gradually regain energy, clarity, and resilience.
Sophrology is also powerful as a preventive practice. By becoming more aware of your emotions, thoughts, and physical signals, you can identify stress earlier and act before it escalates. Tailored exercises, such as breathing, body awareness, and positive visualisation, make it possible to take care of yourself at the very first signs of overwhelm, reducing the risk of burnout and maintaining long-term wellbeing.

Sophrology can offer several benefits for managing menopause symptoms, providing a holistic approach that helps women navigate this transitional phase with greater ease and comfort. Here are some of the key benefits:
Stress and Anxiety Reduction: Menopause can often bring about increased stress and anxiety due to hormonal changes and the physical and emotional symptoms that accompany it. Sophrology techniques, such as deep breathing, relaxation exercises, and guided visualization, can help reduce stress levels and promote a sense of calm and well-being.
Improved Sleep Quality: Many women experience sleep disturbances, such as insomnia or night sweats, during menopause. Sophrology helps in promoting relaxation and easing the mind, which can improve sleep quality and help establish a more restful sleep pattern.
Hormonal Balance: Through its calming techniques and mindful breathing practices, sophrology can help balance the nervous system, potentially easing hormonal fluctuations and minimizing symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, and irritability.
Enhanced Emotional Well-Being: Menopause can bring about feelings of sadness, depression, or mood swings due to hormonal shifts. Sophrology encourages self-awareness and emotional regulation, helping women better understand and manage their emotions, leading to improved emotional well-being.
Pain Management: Some women experience joint pain or headaches during menopause. Sophrology’s relaxation techniques can help reduce the perception of pain and increase overall physical comfort.
Increased Energy Levels: By practicing sophrology regularly, women can learn how to manage their energy more effectively, reducing fatigue and increasing vitality, which is often impacted during menopause.
Body Awareness and Self-Confidence: Sophrology promotes a deeper connection with one’s body, helping women appreciate and accept the changes occurring during menopause. This increased body awareness can enhance self-confidence and self-esteem.
